Neil Bailey

(He / Him)

Neil’s all round person of amazingness bio.

Now then, this is the spot for my bio which is always a tough bit to write.  After all who am I?  I mean, there’s nothing quite like starting off with an easy question.  Right?

Let’s give it a shot and see where we end up.

By trade, I’m a professional coach and trainer having spent 22 years coaching (not solidly, I have slept a bit during that time) and 20 years designing and delivering corporate training for companies across the UK in all sorts of sectors including: private sector, local government, NHS and Charity.  However my first career was as a Country Park Ranger; and the outdoors is still a key part of my life.

Most of the training delivery has been around management and leadership skills as well as the bread and butter of most trainers such as: presentation skills, coaching skills, personal branding; and assertiveness.  Blended into this are my various certifications in personality profiling tools including MBTI Step 2, TKI, Insights Discovery and Saville Wave.

My coaching has been a blend of executive coaching within companies and then my own NLP-based life coaching.  I'm not your average coach - I believe in bringing a sense of humour and light-heartedness to the table while still delivering results (no stuffy suits here).

As a low-support autistic and NLP Master Practitioner, I blend my two plus decades (I know I don't look that old, that's very kind of you to say) of coaching and corporate training experience along with my unique way of looking at the world.  Expect coaching and training with a touch of humour because the journey to self-discovery should be enlightening and enjoyable.

I've had Fibromyalgia and M.E. for over fifteen years and learned to work with it rather than fight it (though the gloves do come off some days) and with that my own mental health struggles.

On a more personal note, I have many interests (some would say too many) but the ones that tend to stick around are ultra-running (Yes I know this doesn’t play well with Fibro/ME, but I’m always looking to challenge myself and learn), poetry (which has been a great source of self-expression and letting go), novel writing (well I'm trying, I’ve got 4 on the go at the same time, all different ones, I mean, why wouldn’t you?), and vlogging my various running races on YouTube (there’s nothing quite like talking to a small handheld camera while trying not to trip on a rock).

So, there we have it.  Welcome to the end of my bio, I did tell you at the beginning we’d see where we ended up and we’ve ended up here. Of course, it’s not an end, it’s simply a placeholder, a moment in time, before other stuff happens, other experiences are lived, and important lessons learned.  If we meet along the way, then I can’t wait to say hello.
